CHADS LIGHTHOUSE AWARDS
The CHADS Lighthouse Award recognizes teachers, counselors, and schools that are dedicated to the education and awareness for mental health and suicide prevention. Individuals and schools are nominated by CHADS staff for demonstrating consistent and significant support of the CHADS mission through their participation in CHADS programming and efforts to provide and improve interventions for adolescents.

Here is what her nominator, CHADS Family Support Therapist, Jennifer Lyons said: “Shannon fosters a community of carers at Francis Howell Central High School. Even as an outside counselor, I feel like part of the community which makes what I do so much more effective, rewarding, and doable. I talk to my clients every day about the importance of building strong connections and having a support network to manage stress. I am able to also model these connections and care for myself through Shannon's hard work, communication, and support. Thank you for always making me feel welcomed!!”
