REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS:
CHADS Coalition Research Award in Early-Onset
Mood Disorders
CHADS Coalition for Mental Health is looking
to fund research in early-onset mood disorders.
CHADS Coalition is a St. Louis non-profit
organization dedicated to combating early-onset
depression and youth suicide. Biomedical research
regarding children of all ages and social
work proposals are encouraged.
This year, a two-year grant will be awarded
for up to $60,000 (including 10% indirect
costs).in the St Louis area. $30,000 will
be awarded in June of fiscal year 2008/09.
Funding for the second year is contingent
upon performance and fundraising success.
A performance report (including budget) is
required at the end of the first year of funding,
as well as a 6-month progress report in both
years. A full summary report and financial
reporting is required by July 1, 2010. Resulting
publications must reference CHADS Coalition
for Mental Health as a funding source.
Grant proposals will be accepted until March
31, 2008. The grant will be awarded at a recognition
ceremony in May.
The grant submission should consist of a
layman abstract, 3-page proposal, a budget
with budget narrative, and a biographical
sketch including current funding sources.
